Pavement Profile Scanner Survey

Pavement Profile Scanner Survey (PPS)

The Pavement Profile Scanner consists of phase measurement Laser Radar (Ladar) with unparalleled precision, range, and sample rate optimized to meet the demanding requirements of pavement testing at highway speeds, combined with a rotating polygon to scan the Ladar along a line on the pavement 6 times per revolution. Rotating speed at 10,000 RPM, the PPS will scan 1,000 profiles per second or 1 every 2.5 cm at 80 K.P.H. measuring both elevation and reflectivity.
